GRAPES: Corvina (65%), Corvinone (20%), Rondinella (15%) Cabernet Sauvignon (5%)
PRODUCTION AREA: The property covers 10 hectares in the Valpolicella area, facing east to west at
gradients between 150 and 300 metres. The soil is limestone, marl, and clay.
DENSITY: 5,000 plants per hectare
VINEYARD TRAINING: Espalier with Guyot pruning
VINIFICATION: Hand harvest; half harvested into trays and dried for a month, the remainder cool
fermented with four days cold maceration. Aged 12 months in French oak in cellars
dug into the rock below the estate.
ALCOHOL: 14.5% vol.
FEATURES: Deep ruby red; aromas of black pepper, cherry, licorice and pomegranate. Well
balanced, silky tannins, exceptional persistence.
